Quote of the year

Who ever said that Rodgers was a scientist that had done technical research on the vaccine? You made this shit up in your head because your on constant tilt.

We liked his quote.

As I stated as well. There a parrot in the room?

You mean, since 1990?

You mean, whether or not the earth is round. Yeah, I know that one. You, however, do not, which speaks “volumes about you” along with your belief in Qanon and seizing private industries you don’t like.

You “know it?”

How. You’ve been in space and observed the shape of our planet?

You’ve done the math or the experimentation? Are you even qualified?

How do you “know?” Tell us. And no sources please…. You’ve claimed that YOU know. Not that you rely on others to provide information.

And I want to make it very clear again- I’m not a flat earther or a glober…. I just simply say- I don’t know the answer.

So we are going to ignore everything we were taught in elementary school about the Solar System???

Sure- why not? 50 years prior they taught the opposite.

This is the problem I have with a heliocentric model.

  1. We are to believe that our earth spins anywhere from 300-1000 mph (depending on where on earth you measure). And while that is happening, we are revolving the sun at 66,000 mph…. While this is happening, we are literally also chasing the sun at a million mph. And while that’s happening, our entire galaxy is drifting even faster than that in a different direction.

  2. Gravity is strong enough to hold the waters of the earth and skyscrapers but butterflies can create lift.

We went to the moon and both live streamed and audio streamed it in real time. There was a man who video taped the rocket leaving the moon (how did he get back)…. And now, we can’t get higher than low earth orbit…. 70 years later. Xx. With better technology and more money.

Listen, I can go on for days. I don’t believe the earth is flat like a pancake, but I do know that every picture of Earth and other planets are illustrations.

Why couldn’t they take a picture from the Mars rover as it traveled to Mars? Send it back to us?

Because there is no Mars rover. It’s all a show.

I do believe that earth is God’s prized creation beside man. And I believe that it is perfect, incorruptible…. I also believe that it is dead smack in the middle of our universe…. There is actually a great documentary called “The Principle” which demonstrates evidence for this.

But anyone telling you that they “know” anything in this domain is a fucking liar.

Wait wait wait…

You don’t believe in the Hubble telescope?

What about telescopes on Earth?!? You can literally look through a super powered telescope from our planet. You’re saying pictures of those other planets are fake???

I would never bash someone’s personal religious beliefs, at least wholesome ones, but this is spot on. This is someone who “questions” ALL the evidence, finds fault with all narratives, yet spin him the most unbelievable story ever and he buys it whole cloth without proof.

Hypocrisy indeed.

Correct- NASA disclosed that they are illustrations. It’s public domain.

When we get to the end, don’t forget to use this line.

The life, death, and resurrection of Christ is the most attested, witnessed and documented event in history.

He has more extra biblical references than Caesar, Genghis Kahn, Aristotle, etc…. have been referenced.

There aren’t any scholars who believe Jesus didn’t exist. The only thing they question are the supernatural events.

If you want to get into it we can. I spent about a decade where I fell out of faith and searched for a true religion. Brought me right back to Jesus.

Anytime you’re ready.

I’m talking about pictures taken from Earth without NASA’s involvement. You can literally go outside at night and photograph planets yourself.

Thank you for invalidating your previous points about Jesus being the most documented person in history. References to the bible don’t matter. The question is why do you believe the supernatural stuff? How do you know it’s not fake news?

Precisely. But if Jesus didn’t exist, or if he didn’t die- the all the supernatural doesn’t matter. It’s the foundation.

Believing in the supernatural is very binary- you either do or don’t. I do. I believe in order to even conceive of a God it must be possible for “Supra” natural to exist because it logically follows that this “nature” was created by it. So he can’t be bound by it.

Not true at all. Plenty of people believe in some supernatural events but not others. Binary is an all-or-nothing proposition, and believe isn’t.

This has nothing to do with my question. For someone so “evidence-based”, who refuses to believes stuff just because other people or sources say it, why do you believe the supernatural stuff in the bible?

If someone believes in 1 super natural event then they are a supernaturalist. There’s no way around it. They may not find another event credible but it won’t be on the grounds of materialism or naturalism.

I have a foundational belief, first and foremost, that our creator must be supernatural.

I also have researched countless confirmations of Bible stories by modern day archeology.

The Rosetta Stone
The Tel Dan inscription
Gilgamesh
Evidence of a Great flood
Hezekiah’s Tunnel

There are hundreds more. Even about Jesus himself ( his birth place, the tomb, where he was held in prison, etc…)

So these are all confirmations that the stories of the Bible are credible. They have historical foundations.

And lastly, Jesus confirms so many biblical Old Testament prophecies that I have to conclude he was who he said he was.

And if he was who he was he was,

“I and the Father are one.”
“I am the way, the truth and the life, No one comes to the Father but through me.”
“Why do you call me good? Only god is good.”

I conclude in my own mind that he did, indeed perform miracles, forgive sins, and rise from the dead.

It’s an “inductive case” and it has a ton of evidentiary support. But of course none of that matters if you won’t accept the supernatural.

This is such a dumb assertion. You can’t say what everyone else will do. People can totally believe in one thing but not another for any reason they want.

Past that, people may disagree on what even constitutes supernatural. Germs, for example. I’m not even sure everyone on this board agrees with germ theory.

Disagree with the first statement but agree with the second. Once again, though, proof of some historical events doesn’t constitute proof of the supernatural. Proof of a flood, for example, doesn’t prove that it was sent by God. So what is the evidence that makes you believe he sent it, and makes you believe why?

Maybe because you’re not following the deductive logic in it.

If I believe in one event, or one series of events under a particular topic…. For instance, if I’m a Muslim, and I believe that Mohammad split the moon and traveled to Paradise and back…. I obviously believe supernatural events.

If I’m a Wiccan and I believe that I can and have cast spells…. You follow?

These people wouldn’t say- “well Jesus couldn’t have conducted a miracle because that presumes supernatural ability.

They would say something else like - you’re false god can’t do anything supernatural. They already concede the point that the supernatural exists and will look for other reasons to discredit. That’s all I’m saying. They are not skeptics of the supernatural…. They are skeptics for other reasons.

100% agree. What I’m saying is if the Bible didn’t have one story, location, person confirmed by historians or archeologists, it would be much more difficult for its advocates to use it as a credible source for anything. Imagine me coming to you in 500 years with the Game of Throne Books and I believed in Lord of Light…. You’d say to me- not one thing in that book has been confirmed…. And you’d be right.

But the Bible- we can confirm thousands of things in it. We can actually go to those places and read those original or near original manuscripts. It lends the Bible a basis of credibility.

Right- but if we went and looked at that particular flood plain and saw the evidence for an enormous once in a millennia flood it makes other claims in the book more believable…. Particularly if you keep discovering these physical or natural claims over and over.

I guess the logic would be- well, if the Bible was accurate, truthful, accurate about a,b,c,x,y,z…. Why would it be lying about 1,2,3?

If the only answer is- we’ll, the supernatural is bunk. Can’t happen…. Then I think that’s a silly answer. A closed minded one at that.
