I never denied there was violence. I’m denying there’s some high level conspiracy to protect liberal demonstrators while getting conservative demonstrators.
For the record, we live in a country that protects speech and demonstration, and as a rule the police will let stuff fly.
But when the riots were happening in LA, I was watching the police roundup on live helicopter feeds. Trust me, there was no stand down order.
Show me their proof of involvement and wrongdoing and I’ll show you their trials.
Even the conservative gangs have protections afforded by the constitution. They’re not being arrested willy nilly. But the people that clearly and in many cases on video participated in breaking into the Capitol? Yup, they’re getting trials.
LOL…All the political posting you did in 2020 (Deblasio was discussed plenty, Portland was discussed plenty, that asshead mayor of Washington was discussed plenty)…And you never noticed what was going on in other cities? OK
I call it a rather mild political disruption, no more alarming than a ladies ice cream social gone awry. There were no weapons, except for the one use by the capital policeman to murder one of the protestors. Compared to the 474 George Floyd riots, protestors it was benign, no fires, cars torched, no mass looting, no police murdered, no multitudes sent to the hospital. Jan 6 was a nothingburger about which lies of colossally exaggerated proportions were concocted by the left to try and besmirch the best president in a hundred years.
I can’t speak for policing in cities where I’m not present. I brought up my liberal city as a factual counterpoint. This myth you guys are pushing simply isn’t true.
Lol…So you don’t comment on anything here unless you were there brushing up against it with your shoulders?
You were at every protest in LA? What about other parts of the state? You were at every one? That’s why you can comment on them and not another state?
You sure as hell have a lot to say about what happened during a couple hours in Washington DC though right?
Does your mail come by pony express too?
You are so lost and so partisan…And again going out of your way to play dumb.
The left’s uprisings are backed by a 85-90% of media which is left biased, all of Hollywood, etc, etc…They are all done for some fictional greater good that is implied in every report on it. Wake up.
This is their logic and their only real motivation…a black guy became President and black people starting getting “riled up” throughout the nation. To them, that means they can overthrow the government and a legal election for President.
Violence on either side is WRONG and should be reported as such equally. It’s just not done that way. It’s far right vs far left with no middle man and a loss of common sense imo.
Protest. Make your voice heard. Get involved. Be active. Vote. Run for office. Be the change.
But destroying public property, interfering with violence for any cause should be called what it is. Wrong.
We have means of civil discourse. We should try them. Maybe listen to the other side. Shoot, maybe even bring back compromise. Not everything should be a zero sum game, and I believe progress dies under this strategy regardless of which side has the power to push change.
But…violence shouldn’t be condoned or swept under the rug based on a certain cause vs another. It’s wrong. We should be better than this. Should be…
Using these two instances, my opinion is that they are not being reported equally. The scale of the two may not be exactly the same. I feel as someone sitting dead center on most issues, no, they are not treated equally in the media.
However, I’ll stand by my point. And that was that violence should not be used as a blunt tool for EITHER. I think we should be better. I think the populace deserves better coverage from BOTH ends of the spectrum.
