Historically, Jews have been great writers, great scientists, excellent military leaders, generous philanthropists, and successful crooks. Persecuted for centuries, they founded Israel which presently comprises one tenth of one percent of the land in the Middle East. But, that is too much for Muslims. The Koran instructs the faithful to persecute Jews, especially those hiding behind rocks. Islam has the definite ability to turn Muslims into homicidal terrorists. Not all terrorists are Muslims, but most are.
Judeo-Christian ethics exhort believers to love one another. When things go sour in life, the pious often turn to and rededicate themselves to the admirable loving principles. Not so in Islam. Robert Spencer who has devoted his entire life to religion, a harsh critic of Islam, writes that Muslims find themselves vexed by non-Muslims ruining societal harmony. When life seems oppressive to Muslims, they don’t to turn to love but to vengence. Islam is a religion of conquest aimed at asserting its primacy over all other faiths. What a pity that otherwise normal people can so easily be turned by a radical religion into 21st century homicidal maniacs.
I myself am a secular Jew and while I do not believe in God or religion, I count myself as being Jewish since I was advised by our State Department not to accept job offers at the American University in Cairo, Pahlavi University in Shiraz, or at Roberts College in Istanbul. Being of Jewish ascendancy I was perceived as being a potential target of Islamic maniacs.
I love Israel. The Jews turned a barren and forlorn land, as described by Mark Twain, into a blossoming paradise. Their success in reclaiming the land and transforming it attracted hordes of immigrants, many of them Arabs. When Israel became a nation, Arabs much the same as British loyalist during our own revolutionary war refused allegiance to the new nation. Many heeded the advice of invading Arab armies set on destroying the new nation, and they fled from the newly founded land. They became the longest, recognized refugees in human history. Surely, as time passes, refugee status should disappear. Those who refused to leave are now citizens of Israel enjoying the same rights as all other citizens.
Many American leftists, in particular Noam Chomsky, despise Israel, and they devote their writing to disparaging Israel characterizing Jews as bullies for wanting to live their lives in a safe and secure nation. Leftists have been very successful at libeling Israel, and no nation on earth has had more UN sanctions than Israel. But, Israel is a first world nation. It has elite research universities. Its people have been conferred more Nobel Prizes than all of its neighbors put together. It’s a great tourist destination, and Jerusalem remains the holiest place in the Jewish universe.

If hate crime stats are interpreted, it would indicate that Blacks behave more violently racist than other races. The single biggest lie being promulgated in this nation is the threat imposed by white supremacists. Surely, there are instances of crimes committed by white supremacists but not at the statistical frequency of those committed by Blacks or Hispanics. Asians seem to be excellent citizens with respect to violent crime. Our cities are our most violent venues, and it is in cities that persons aligned with the Democrat Party, especially Blacks and Hispanics, are visiting violence on others.
In regard to my support of Russia, I point to our own history and Kennedy making certain that no missile pointed at the USA were ensconced in Cuba. Russia followed the Minsk Treaty. Ukraine did not. Since the fall of communism, Putin has done masterful job of creating prosperity in Russia. The same is not true of Ukraine which descended into being the second poorest nation in Europe. Ukraine is where the modern state of Russia began. Historically it is linked at the hip with Russia and Byelorussia. Their Eastern Slavic languages are to a large degree mutually understood, much more so than Spanish and Portuguese. Crimea is as Russian of a place as you will find. The same goes for the Donbas, and there are a helluva lot of ethnic Russian in Kharkov or Kharkiv as it is known today and in Odessa as well. The Russian people fear NATO, and there is no longer any need whatsoever for NATO. NATO is about as helpless as Ukraine pitted against the military might of Russia. So what is our policy in Ukraine. Is our policy to eliminate the country of all young male Ukrainian persons? There is no conceivable way that Ukraine can defeat Russia, and you can disbelieve the news of Ukrainian successes on the battlefield. We’d would be better off loading crates of money into helicopters and raining the currency down willy nilly on our poorest sections of the country rather than sending it to Ukraine.

Castro indeed inflicted great suffering on Cubans, nothing however as atrocious proportionately speaking as the holocaust and genocide of Jews during WW2. My grandfather had a large estate on the Cuban Isla de los pinos which of course was expropriated by the communists. This is not to say that many Cuban families did not lose loved ones as a result of political tyranny, nor do Jews have a monopoly in so far as martyrdom is concerned.

There is a big difference and while it sucks to be born in Cuba - People on that island are not being starved, thrown into gas chambers and watching their familes die. What is happening to the people of Cuba has happened to many other people in this world. The difference is no one is trying to whipe out an entire race.
