80 is right about PTSD and it specifically comes into play against a mobile QB. I’m glad everyone else here is talking me off the ledge because I would have preferred Georgia.
I trust out DLine 100%, but aggressiveness can be taken advantage of, and I don’t trust our secondary. If Chambliss can stand up to the pressure, their offense will be tough to stop.
Dawson has a huge game ahead of him. He’s proven he can change, can mix things up, and call multiple good games. Beck has proven he can smartly manage what’s called. I think heavy run with misdirection and occasional tricks if a great recipe against Ole Miss, and this will further strengthen Beck’s choices. I hope Dawson has a Plan A and a Plan B and a Plan C to meet the challenge.
I have a ticket to this one and will be in Phoenix for the show. Go Canes!
Yeah, Ole Miss is in alot of disarray right now with their coaches, coming and going…that’s not to say they won’t come to play but it’s alot of distraction for sure.
I want to see Mario and Co. LOCKED IN…foot on the gas ALL game on both sides of the ball.
Again, to me the key is our secondary…and on offense it’s Beck managing the game.
It’s weird. I feel less worried than I did before TOSU. Sure, it’s easy to discount Ole Miss right now. But the cards seem to be falling UM’s way at the moment. I do not know the “tenor” of the team at all but perhaps the biggest issue might be overconfidence. When you have that and someone smacks you upside the head things can go sideways. Cf. Mike Tyson.
Staying under control seems very key.
I hate that I am going to have to watch this game live. Let the pill dissolve under your tongue…
have to admit that i still have PTSD….especially when it comes to the fiesta bowl. our most painful losses always happen there. i need a natty bad….its the only cure
Miami is playing with house money. This team heading into the playoffs is most similar to Miami playing Nebraska back in the early 80’s. When it started no one thought Miami would win. Penn State (Miami was a big favorite), Ohio State (Miami big favorite). When Miami lost to Bama (Miami was favorite). Miami is the favorite in this game but when it started no one predicted this. Most felt that if Maimi won a single game it was great.
Lol and even better…I’m in an annoying text group with some life long friends and some of their friends. We haven’t lived near each other in years, some in so fl…Some in NC…Some in philly. One out west
And I gave them 31-27 as well. Let em stir on that one for a few days before they start talking shit again.
Lol amazing prediction. I will say that they fought till the bitter end without a full staff. Mad respect to them but we were obviously the better team.
