We looked at flu CASES before in this forum, and one of you guys also did the math wrong there. I corrected it for y’all then but you didn’t want to listen.
This is hospitalizations, which is way different, because if you’re not serious YOU’RE NOT GETTING ADMITTED TO THE HOSPITAL. Not during a pandemic. Not while the ICU’s were over busy. It’s just not happening.
Combined with the HIGHEST VACCINED YEAR ON RECORD, and masks, and distancing, and lockdowns - NO, it’s not crazy to think flu cases and flu hospitalizations are way way down.
That said, it always takes a whole year for the CDC to release the full flu numbers. 2020 estimates are not even out yet (to my knowledge). So the numbers will likely end up higher than we’re seeing, which is part of the process.
