Show me where I said that. Also, did he threaten them?
And while you’re at it, show me where you’ve come to my defense when my family and I were threatened. You cry innocence and unfairness yet sat quiet when it’s happened to me and others.
This is par for the course with you. Next, you’ll either ghost the subject, or try to walk back your comments and still try to act like you’re in the right.
The Lake campaign says Lake’s daughter has never attended a drag show.
“Richard’s accusations were full of lies,” she said, in a statement emailed to me. “The event in question was a party at someone else’s house, and the performer was there as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator. It wasn’t a drag show, and the issue we’re talking about isn’t adults attending drag shows, either. The issue is activists sexualizing young children, and that’s got to stop.”
You realize that quote is in the original article, right?
“It wasn’t a drag show, it was a show WITH drag queens. There’s a difference, I swear!”
Anyway, anybody with any savviness as to how media operates can see Lake’s statement is misdirection. Despite photographic evidence of her at drag parties and her friendship with a drag queen, she responds only about a single isolated event (so she can’t be caught in a lie) and says her daughter wasn’t at that adult party.
Sure, but the drag queen never claimed her daughter was there. What the drag queen said was that he performed at Lake’s house in front of her daughter.
Does anyone notice Lake didn’t specifically deny that part? Perhaps that’s because then she’d be lying?
She’s simply arguing that there’s a distinction between adults partaking in adult drag Queen shows and children. I don’t see the issue with her statement.
But I do think she’s an idiot for jumping on this issue when she obviously participated in these events. Just very short sighted of her.
Richard, a longtime friend of Lake who is pictured, has straight up said he performed in drag at Lake’s house with her young daughter present. He then says this makes her a hypocrite.
Lake has not denied this claim. She only stated a “dodge” that said there was an adult party with a drag queen and her daughter was not at that adult party.
Do you see how this is a dodge? Lake has not denied the fundamental issue of hypocrisy, which is the reason for the claim. No one ever said Lake’s daughter was at the party. She made a denial of a claim that never existed. It’s a political dodge to avoid addressing the real issue, which is that Lake is okay with young kids seeing drag queens perform.
Honestly, I would have no issue if Lake’s statement was this: "I am fine with drag queens. I am fine with parents supervising their kids at drag shows under safe conditions. I don’t believe drag shows should be part of school curriculum as other parents may make different choices.
See, that’s a statement I can respect, that has logical consistency, and is one without hypocrisy.
Instead Lake is pandering to her base and desperately hoping they don’t realize that she exposed her daughter to drag queen performances.
Stevens said Lake’s actions hurt his feelings considering her past support and friendship.
“I would do the exact same thing because if you talk about Barbra Seville doing drag shows in front of kids or if you talk about drag queens and libraries, you don’t have to talk about your best friend, Donald Trump, staging a coup,” Stevens said.
“You don’t have to talk about protecting kids from guns in classrooms because you’re protecting kids from drag queens. Yeah, of course it’s a distraction and it’s insulting.”
Lake denied Stevens’ claim to have performed at her house and said that it was a drag show in a statement last weekend.
So Stevens did bring up kids.
He also apparently said he performed at her house. So I don’t understand. She set the record straight.
And just to follow up, GSC, neither of the two official responses I’ve seen from Lake have denied that Richard performed at Lake’s house with her daughter present.
This is my point. Put your thinking cap on. If this weren’t true, wouldn’t she deny it? She’s already taking the time to respond and deny other things, online and on TV.
It stands to reason that she may be avoiding the subject because it is true and it would make her look like a hypocrite.
Kari Lake is a smart lady and right on major issues facing the country. Were she running against even Putin or for that matter any Democrat, save for Joe Manchin, I’d likely vote for her. Kari is certainly right about the rigged election and the success of leftists in keeping all evidence of this swindle out of court rooms. I think Kari is not telling the truth about past interaction with drag queens, but admitting allegations is something politicians have learned is a kiss of death. Experience has taught politicians that lying is a superior strategy than confessing truth. Legally speaking, refusing to answer questions is the best recourse.
I don’t know much about this drag queen business, but in a free country, you are entitled to enjoy your life even if you are a law abiding sexual deviate. Actually, I have some perv friends whom I like so long as I am able to block thoughts out of my mind about their sordid sexual activities. As for drag shows and other forms of aberrant sexuality, I would of course ban them from schools. For the most part, my personal philosophy is to mind my own business and leave people the hell alone. Parents not teachers should be primarily responsible for educating their children about sexuality. Sexual deviance certainly should not be championed in schools. I perceive normalcy as sexual interaction that foments the propagation of the species. As for myself, I consider myself the apotheosis of normalcy.
Here in Pensacola, there are only two downtown bars in which you can smoke cigars. One is the Cigar Factory and the other is a gay bar called The Round Up. Since I miss being able to smoke cigars in bars and night clubs, I sometimes go to the Round Up which operates other than during late night drag spectacles as an old-fashioned tavern. My visits to the Round Up keep me up to date on the latest Queer activities occurring locally. Pensacola has a robust gay tourist trade especially on Memorial Day when hotel rates are raised extortionately. The city has found gay tourists to be free spenders and unlikely to wreak environmental or property damage… I do recommend normal families againest visiting our beach hotels during gay festivals inasmuch as there is a certain amount of revulsion seeing gay men frolicking around the hotel pools in their jock strap like swimming apparel. On those days, B228 is usually out in the Alabama bayous flyfishing.
And showing his true colors, bikki thinks her insincerity is a good trait.
At least he’s being honest, but now even he admitted his stance. He lies as a matter of strategy and principle in order to not lose an argument. Not that it’s a surprise to a few of us.
Unfortunately, when a human is penalized for truth, he/she is compelled to engage in prevarication. In the study of law, truth is a worthy goal, however I fear truth in jurisprudence differs markedly from truth in science. Otherwise, we’d not have presumptions of innocence, exclusionary rules, or the civil standard of truth being “beyond reasonable doubt.”
In human interaction, sometimes a lie is permissible even preferable. As Mark Twain suggests in “On the Decay of the Art of Lying:”
“Lying is universal - we all do it. Therefore, the wise thing is for us diligently to train ourselves to lie thoughtfully, judiciously; to lie with a good object, and not an evil one; to lie for others’ advantage, and not our own; to lie healingly, charitably, humanely, not cruelly, hurtfully, maliciously; to lie gracefully and graciously, not awkwardly and clumsily; to lie firmly, frankly, squarely, with head erect, not haltingly, tortuously, with pusillanimous mien, as being ashamed of our high calling.:
