Inflation Joe

Oh no! Creating a recession has been on their mind for years? That’s it! You got me!

I never said they woke up that morning and decided to do it you loser. Those are your words.

Anyone who thinks rising prices for all goods and services PLUS increasing debt service is a fucking idiot.

It will immediately destroy cash flow and savings. It will cause many SMB business leaders to close shop or to sell their companies to larger organizations with more capital.

It will cause consumers to stop spending BUT instead of putting that spending into savings, it’ll get eroded by necessities like food, gas, and other commodities that they can’t avoid buying.

Raising interest rates will also automatically dispose the government to raising taxes wherein half of the taxes are paid by achievers while the non-achievers pay nothing.

Keynesian economics always fails. It nearly sent Iceland into bankruptcy. However, the Icelanders voted out their spendthrift leftist government, and the economy subsequently stabilized.

When in reality what they should be doing is lowering taxes to create relief.

Right now, the States could cut gasoline and toll taxes in half. That would instantly lower gasoline costs to the consumer and lessen the burden on transportation costs.

But they are such vampires they’ll never do it.

Mind-numbingly dumb. You’ve comprehensibly proven you know literally zero about basic economics.

Sure, Storm

Ok Warden, lol.

@Warden84 is literally googling counter points right now. No doubt about it. Fraud.

As someone who builds your roads, this might be the most ignorant statement I’ve ever seen on the past two boards. You say a lot of dumb shit, then pretend to back it up with “knowledge” from your own mind.

Let me start by concluding that the federal gas tax hasn’t been raised since 1993.

How fucking dumb is this motherfucker? They can’t help themselves. They just have to chime in.

He always accuses me of not reading BUT HE MISSED THAT I SPECIFICALLY CALLED OUT STATES.

STATES!!!

Not the federal government. Go reread you dickhead.

You are even dumber than a rock then.

Let’s cut state gas taxes in half???

Yeah, that would help. Lmfao at this moron

Imagine how elitist you have to be to think that a quarter or so (give or take each side) per gallon wouldn’t help the majority of people who drive everyday.

Also notice he’s ignoring the toll argument as well.

Here in NJ, tolls are egregious. The average toll is a $1.00. The toll to go into NYC is $20.

Many people, including myself, hit multiple tolls each day.

But this asshole thinks a few bucks back in peoples pockets directly wouldn’t matter.

Actually, I minored in it. 4 years as double major in Finance and Accounting, changed to History and double minored in Marketing and Economics at the end. Every semester I took extra classes, at least one, that I just was interested in and took every summer school semester…hence changing to history at the end. In Finance and Accounting, you can substitute classes from a field and I always chose the one tied to economics, hence the minor.

In reality, I majored in fraternity, drinking and girls…along with my next door fraternity brother, your fearless board leader.

Cool- so did I. Lol. What’s your point? You think that qualifies you as an economic expert over me?

Imagine how elitest you have to be to open your trap on subject after subject each day that you know nothing about, getting BATTERED because of lack of cognition?

So I’ll help you out, yet again.

Fuel is not taxed high enough to begin with. You don’t cut taxes on fuel when they aren’t even at the right level to begin with. You’d never ever get it back as lawmakers generally refuse to raise them.

In spite of these efficiency arguments for fuel taxation, gasoline taxes are low in the United States. This is usually explained as a result of political constraints—raising the gasoline tax is politically unpopular and therefore infeasible.

Our infrastructure in America is a JOKE. You’d be shocked at the number of failing bridges you drive on everyday.

Crumbling infrastructure costs every American household $3,300 in hidden costs a year, according to ASCE, from lost time and increased fuel consumption while sitting in traffic jams, to extra car repairs due to poor road conditions.

This failing infrastructure has a cost associated with it for each user. Now let’s do a little bit of math, with the aforementioned $3,300 and your tax reduction in new Jersey. Let’s round NJ up to .43 and divide by 2 = 21.5. Avg gas tank size is 12-16 gallons, again, let’s take high end at 16 gallons. 16*21.5 = $3.44 per tank.

3.44 into 3300 is like 959 tank fill ups to break even or roughly filling up your tank over 2 times a day for an entire year.

Then add in all the jobs you would kill in the private sector and your suggestion is a dumpster fire.

I was trying to be nice to keep from embarrassing you on toll roads. You sure you want me to go there? I will embarrass you again, but you have to beg and say please first.

This is 100% subjective nonsense.

Actually, it is 100% fact.

Do you really want to keep arguing a subject that you are very uneducated in?

It’s not. You’ll use other nations to benchmark us…. I get that. That’s not proof that we have low gasoline tax. It’s just means we have lower gas tax RELATIVE to others.

If I ate a 6,000 calorie diet as a 40 year old and told you that was low by using 50 other 40 year olds that eat between 7,000 and 15,000 caolrie diets that wouldn’t make my diet a “low calorie diet” objectively lol.

No, it is based off of rudimentary economics 101.

Who gives a fuck?

Don’t drive over a bridge then…

You people and this infrastructure stuff. More comedy

Notice how he has to bring the topic here. The argument was never about infrastructure. What is this guy rambling on about?

Your knowledge of economics GSC is more advanced than the Keynesian idiots in this forum. who insult you. Governments fall when their nation’s currency becomes worthless, and you cannot pay debt with worthless currency. Rising interest rates will make debt service untenable unless government reduces its size, scales down entitlements, and unfortunately raises takes. Already Biden is talking about taxing unrealized capital gains which is tantamount to theft… Income tax must be paid by the entire population, not just half of the citizens. We need to scaap the Green Revolution. Look what it has done to Germany. Time to build more nuclear power plants.

What is wrecking America are the consequences of a rigged election. Were Trump president, there’d be no stupid war in Ukraine. Trump started zero wars. We’d be energy independent and exporting energy. Our store shelves would not be empty of product. There would be no invasion over our southern border, and the present inflation would not exist. Just look what one year of Biden has done to America.

Look how the liberals are rallying to preserve censorship at Twitter. It’s almost as hypocritical as sending weapons to the Nazis in Ukraine to prolong a war they absolutely cannot win. Liberals tell you they have to behave as fascists in order to preserve democracy. Meanwhile, leadership of Twitter ignore its fiduciary responsibility to its shareholders. Elon has become one of my favorite African-Americans. Watch what happens to Twitter if Elon walks away from the deal.
