You are a fucking moron. A PCR is a Molecular test. Molecular tests look for genetic material that comes only from the virus. It normally takes days to get back from labs.
An antigen test(what they are asking everyone move towards) identifies protein fragments (antigens) from the virus. It takes minutes to run.
At what point has anyone said the PCR or Antigen tests could determine the type of virus from many? Instead, facilities using antigen can run many tests on the sample to determine the virus a person has.
THEY WERE CHANGED BY GOVERNORS AND SECRETARY OF STATE INSTEAD OF THE LEGISLATURE WHICH THE CONSTITUTION REQUIRES TO CHANGE ANY STATE LAWS…

Skeeter, there have been multiple recalls on Covid tests. The Innova brand was recalled recently.
FDA has also asked all facilities to stop using the PCR tests which take much longer to return by 12/31/2021. It isn’t a recall but a Stormy is labeling as such.
Storms reading comprehension is up for discussion. Clearly more people should avoid punctuation and use run on sentences or just end everything with triple dots or question marks.
Maybe Storm is confused by the word multiplex. In the end, the antigen tests can use one sample to test for multiple viruses at the same time. It doesn’t mean PCR was recalled. It just means antigen tests can be run so much faster and on multiple viruses. Thus, antigen tests allow doctors to quickly treat the actual problem vs waiting days and potentially causing a person to spread viruses to others because they didn’t know they had the flu or Covid.
