This was just good old fashioned football. The game plan was simple. Beck had an off night so Dawson did what he could do. He took this here football 
, and shoved it down their throat!
I can’t wait until Coach 30 does this game.

We were rescued by a savage fourth quarter and a savage defense. Whatever our short fallings may be, they are not physical. Mario has gotten his wish. Playing the Canes is like getting a good mauling. Bain and Mesidor are some tandem. Marty Brown is some kind of competitor. Florida is an SEC school and their linemen had lots of stars after their names, but Miami was victorious in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
It’s time now to worry about FSU, no easy task since Gus Malzahn is a formidable offensive coordinator whose deceptive plays surprise opponents. Amazing how FSU was rebuilt in one single year. NIL changes everything.

The commentators were making excuses for the Gators,but I’m not gonna lie, I loved when they said UF has one of the hardest schedules in college football having early games aganst LSU and Miami.
They were expecting a better game than what they got. I’m glad Dawson didn’t force Beck to try to win the game. If we can continue to run the ball like this, we will be in every game this year.
Florida has not beaten the Canes in Miami since the mid 1980’s.
I’ll never forget the first time I saw Reuben Bain. He was a senior playing the first game of the season against IMG Academy of Bradenton. IMG was a huge favorite, and Central’s win over IMG was an enormous upset. Bain was Central’s most valuable player, notching three sacks in the game and was an absolute terror in the IMG backfield. Opposing Bain on the IMG side of the ball was none other than Francis Mauigoa, who now is Reuben’s teamate. In his senior year, Reuben Bain amassed 112 tackles, 85.5 TFL, and 58.5 sacks.
Sigh…what a game. We could have easily lost that game. We didn’t. Good.
D looks solid, some runs we had a number of missed tackles but overall our D looked great.
This had better be a wakeup call for FSU…
If Miami gets one more score instead of settling for field goals the game is over earlier. Miami is built differently this year than last. I said it at the time this is more of a team to Mario’s liking. He wants to punish teams for four quarters. Miami is a very good team. If your into wide open, high scoring offenses this is not the team for you. Miami is a playoff team this year. They just need to finish. Mario build this team inside -out.
I am likely missing things by not watching away from the ball but what does Alex Bauman bring to the table? He is a blocker, right? I loved that cut to Beck’s face after the ball sailed over the back of Bauman’s helmet. Lots of stuff was Beck being off but not that one, hah.
Is the team at the point now where the OL can go deeper as the game progresses? I think the team needs solid, quick learning backups to take this approach deep into the season. The starters are great but they are human. As the season wears on…
