Ah, level-headedness, like not completely snapping but mocking when someone mentions feeling more confident after their final vaccine dose.
That’s an idiotic picture Storm. The vaccine doesn’t change the survival rate.
We’ll know the vaccine’s working as cases go down, and vaccinated people don’t get infected. You know, just like all other vaccines.
I really love how Skeeter rails about doing the things we want to do as Americans (open up) and then mocks people for taking steps that will allow us to do exactly that.
I take it, Skeeter, based on your comments, you don’t plan on getting vaccinated. Good for you. I don’t care. So then why do you call out people for feeling better knowing the vaccine they get will make them essentially free from severe disease - should one get COVID?
I don’t have any risk factors (that I know of). But as 305 pointed out, I have family members that do. I have friends that do.
A young pastor at my church got it - decided to go to the hospital after having a fever for 8 days and was a day from being put on a vent. You just don’t truly know how this might effect someone.
But shame on me for trying to be considerate, right?
It’s inconsiderate idiots like you who say “fuck that, I’m ‘Merican!” And don’t even care to take the smallest precautions that may prevent someone you know (or whom you don’t know - but fuck them too right?) from getting sick. That’s how this shit has spread.
AT SOME POINT DON’T YOU HAVE TO CALL CASES BULLSHIT WHEN THERE IS NO ONE IN THE FCKEN HOSPITAL?
SERIOUSLY THE “CASES” RIG SYETEM KEEPS YOU GUYS HANGING ON FOR HOPE THIS IS REAL…
IT IS FCKEN MADE UP JUNIOR…
Kinda like how Q keeps you hanging on, hoping this is real?
What are you talking about? As far as I know there’s no hospital emergency now. Cases have gone down a lot from those levels. The US is sitting pretty overall, in large part due to the vaccines.
I thought I read that the cases were surging in some areas and the doctor’s are baffled as a good portion of the population has gotten the vaccine?
Either way, if the hospitals aren’t overrun and the death counts aren’t high, I really don’t want to hear about cases.
Yes, cases are surging (Michigan is an example), and it seems younger people are getting it. But to your point, deaths and hospitalizations are going down, which obviously is a good thing.
The fact that we are not 100% open across the country is a total travesty. The fact that 40% of schools are still virtual is a travesty.
The Politicians that are doing this to our children and the general public are despicable.
Schools need to open. Absolutely. Kids (especially young kids) aren’t getting or spreading it.
My 5th grade daughter was exposed to a COVID patient once at school last fall and I thought it would be the first of several quarantines for both of my kids. But nothing since.
As for large gatherings (I better be able to tailgate at hard rock this year!), I do think it makes sense to ramp that up as more and more people are vaccinated - which - it would seem within the next couple months tops, most who want a vaccine should be able to have gotten one.
