Now this is curious -
First- Did you nominate them?
Can I find out who has been nominated for a Nobel Prize? (FAQ - Frequently asked questions - NobelPrize.org)
Nominations are only made public 50 years after the nomination has taken place – so nominations for this year’s Nobel Prizes are a closely guarded secret. Any rumours regarding recent nominees are either just rumour, or someone among the invited nominators has leaked information. Since the nominations are kept secret for 50 years, you’ll have to wait until then to find out.
Secondly, The AAPS or Association of American Physicians and Surgeons is a “politically conservative non-profit that promotes medical disinformation, such as HIV/AIDs denialism, the abortion-breast cancer hypothesis, vaccine and autism connections, and homosexuality reducing life expectancy. The association was founded in 1943 to oppose a government attempt to nationalize healthcare. The group has included notable members like Ron Paul, Rand Paul, and Tom Price.
In 1966, the New York Times described AAPS as an “ultra-right wing…political-economic rather than a medical group”, and said some of its leaders were members of the John Birch Society.”
Leading up to the 2008 Presidential race, the AAPS published an article claiming that then-candidate Barrack Obama was captivating audiences through hypnosis.
In 2009, future president of the AAPS emailed the Obama witch doctor photo
The defended Limbaugh’s illegally abusing drugs
“Philip Morris executives worked with AAPS executive director James Orient to help oppose growing support for indoor smoking bands in the early 2000s.”
AAPS is guilty of regularly publishing scientifically discredited claims
- That human activity has not contributed to climate change, and that global warming will be beneficial
- That HIV does not cause AIDS
- That the “gay male lifestyle” shortens life expectancy by 20 years
- That there is a link between abortion and breast cancer
- That there are possible links between autism and vaccines
- That government efforts to encourage smoke cessation and emphasize the addictive nature of nicotine are misguided.
That wasn’t the first time ole Pete McMisinformation was saying these things. Right before this speech, he made sure to test his in the New American, the magazine of the overtly racist John Birch Society in April 2021. Also, he’s in jeopardy of losing his license and is being sued by Baylor Scott and White for misrepresenting himself as a spokesperson for them during an interview
Ben Marble is a family medicine dr from Gulf Breeze, FL, a town with a population smaller than my high school.
So, one guy is on the brink of losing his license, misrepresenting who he’s affiliated with and represents one of the most deliberate misinformation organizations in the country. One dude is a family dr in a shithole in Florida. Aaaaannnd, your nobel prize claim is full of shit, unless of course, you nominated them. Then again, I can nominate my dog. Typical.
