When the Trump tariffs were crashing the stock market, people were saying what an idiot Trump was.
When the Trump tariffs were cancelled (or is it paused) the stock market predictably recovered. Now no one is complaining about these things.
I really don’t think this is hard to follow.
And to 80’s credit, he did say before that president’s don’t usually affect the market, and I agree with him in general that’s true. Outside factors like banking regulations are much more likely to affect the stock market, stuff the president doesn’t usually have a finger in. But even hardline Trump supporters won’t deny that his tariff policy was affecting the market.
Trump has forgotten about the Tariffs because he has been told by people inside his cabinet it was a losing cause. He started the bombing of Iran to get people off the BS. He is running out of cards. The guy is a true con man. The con is up.

Gsc, most if not all tariffs have been suspended or not implemented at all. There is no talk of it anymore because people like you just seem to be ok that the guy makes shit up. The cost is then passed to the consumer of the country who imports it, like a tax. All these tariffs he imposes on other countries are paid by the importers in the US and then their customers.
