I said the Caliphate was destroyed, not ISIS. No doubt ISIS is a continuing problem, and admittedly suicide bombing is an intractable problem. Trump’s taking out of the world’s most profound terrorist quelled rocket attacks, but I think it is logical, given Obama’s foreign policy failure to predict an upswing in terrorist activities. I would aver that Iran was one of the big winners in this past election, and renewing the Iranian agreement would be complete fatuity.
Now, the question is how. should the U.S. react. Should we increase troop levels? Should we continue sanctions? These will test Biden’s mettle, and I believe he’ll bungle the job. I further believe efforts should be ratcheted up to topple the Iranian theocracy. Under the Shah, Tehran had become a cosmopolitan capital, and the Iranian people enjoyed a more Westernized life, and many lament losing that way of life.
I will credit Trump for getting al-Baghdadi - and I 1,000% against re-entering the Iran nuclear deal.

The Israelis have reportedly conceived an air and ground attack on certain nuclear sites. I got this information through Debka File blog which keeps up on military actions of the IDF. I think there is much to worry about Pakistan already having nuclear weapons. It would not be ironic for humans to destroy completely their world. We are a bellicose species.

Were it not for the Islamic Revolution in Iran, I believe Iran would have been the most modern state in the region. During the Shah’s rule, Tehran had become significantly Westernized. Iranian women did not have to wear the heavy robes and live as only potential human beings. Sanctions should be made even more harsh on the theocratic mullahs. The Iranian people deserve a better government.that will move the nation into the 21st century.

Sanction the hell of out Iran…which unfortunately means their people will suffer immeasurably…but hopefully at some point will decide enough is enough and overthrow the government.
