Rapp I believe can play both free and strong and that’s why they brought him in because they found what life was like with Hyde playing only 3 games and Poyer missing 4-5 (he did not miss only 3 as that chart shows), and then come back and playing hurt late. Buffalo’s stud safety tandem is getting older and they made a quality, versatile backup (basically good enough to start) a priority in free agency.
