I think Dawson’s problems were evident in the games Miami lost at the end of the season.

He loves to run up the middle in 3rd and 4th and short with no deception at all. Decent defenses will stack the box and the probability of success plummets.

Cam is simply a better QB than Beck. He threw a few bad picks when he forced throws under pressure instead to throwing the ball away or scrambling for a few yards. But, Beck’s number of bad mistakes already exceeds Cam’s bad mistakes for the entirety of the 2024 season.

I understand being mad at Beck. I don’t think he was hugely at fault for being in that position in overtime. We tried to dominate with the runs where we hadn’t all day. Brown missed a huge hole to basically walk into the end zone and instead gets tackled after 2. 3rd and long we basically had to try. Even if it was a bad pass under a lot of pressure, Miami should have won this game far and away long before.

Beck seems like a great kid when interviewed by the press. During three years at Georgia, he only lost three games. Beck is not as good as Ward, but he has played some good football against highly skilled opponents. He’s far and away the best QB on our roster. Saying he’s a bad teammate is a cheap shot.

Yup, just manufactured drama. It’s not Beck looking for someone to blame, it’s people writing articles like this looking to blame Beck.
